Elektron Net is a minimal, open-source fork of Bitcoin Core. It introduces deliberate protocol changes (60-second block times and mandatory 137-day pruning) while preserving Bitcoin’s core consensus rules, proof-of-work, and monetary policy. The project encodes principles of privacy, the “right to be forgotten,” and mathematical soundness directly into consensus.

Maintenance vs. Ownership

Although Ali Kutlusoy actively maintains the codebase and serves as the primary developer and lead contributor, the project and the code do not belong to any single individual or entity. Elektron Net is released under the permissive MIT open-source license. It is a public, decentralized, and community-usable resource. Anyone may freely use, study, modify, fork, compile, run nodes, mine, or participate in the network in full accordance with the license terms. Once the network is live, it operates independently of any maintainer or central party.

No Warranty

All information on this website, the software, documentation, genesis parameters, and any related materials are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without any warranties or representations of any kind — express, implied, statutory, or otherwise.
